Description:

This residential program provides rehabilitation to veterans who are homeless with substance abuse and / or mental health disorders. Individuals must be willing and able to move to independent living within two (2) years.

24 hours/7 days a week

Eligibility:

Must be a homeless veteran with substance abuse/mental health disorders. Pre-admission screening is required; priority is given to Hillsborough County residents, with referrals taken from Pinellas County and Bay Pines Hospital.

Shelter Requirements:

Homeless by HUD definition; 18+ years of age (males and females). Homeless with co-occuring disorders, Level IV funded. Meet DCF Level 111 residential criteria. We are not a 'point of entry' those individual seeking treatment must be referred by a professional or agency. Can not accept individuals exhibiting sub-average intellectual functioning that prohibits them from participating in the program. Can not accept individuals persons with a medical or behavioral condition beyond the safe management capabilities of the program. Can not accept persons under the age of 18. Can not accept convicted sex offenders, violent offenders, individuals with mental health problems that are not stabilized on medications and individuals who are.
