SSVF South Tampa Rapid Re-Housing
Description:
SSVF provides supportive services to extremely low-income veterans and their families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough Counties. We do this through a variety of services including case management, housing counseling, assistance in obtaining VA and public benefits and temporary financial assistance. We assist homeless veterans (individuals and families) as well as veterans who are at imminent-risk of becoming homeless, whether they are facing eviction, staying with friends or family and they have to leave, or staying in a motel they can no longer pay for. Temporary financial assistance must assist the individual/family in accessing or maintaining housing. If individual or family is not experiencing a housing crisis, they are not eligible for assistance through SSVF. Financial assistance that is provided includes security/utility deposit, rental and utility assistance, moving/storage costs, child care, transportation (bus passes) and possible motel assistance. Again, the households served through this program MUST BE experiencing a housing crisis in order to be eligible for services through SSVF.

Intakes will be scheduled once basic information is obtained and eligibility is determined by referring source.
